Yihan Zhong, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of AM-E-Dao, holds a Master of Engineering Management (MEM) degree from Dartmouth College (US) and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from South Dakota State University (US). He is a member of Overseas-educated Scholars Association of China. In research field, he has published 5 peer-reviewed academic journal articles and led teams to obtain over 20 invention patents and over 10 utility model patents.
His professional experience includes cross-cultural work at Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business as a 3D printing technology consultant, performing research under world business strategist Professor Richard D'Aveni, participating in multiple large enterprise AM consulting projects, and contributing to "The Pan-Industrial Revolution" and Harvard Business Review articles about 3D printing.
In his early career, he served as Project Manager and Software/Firmware Engineer at the global headquarters of Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) and Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT).
After returning to China, he successively served as Director of 3D Printing Department at Guangdong University of Technology's Collaborative Innovation Research Institute, Director of Guangdong 3D Printing Technology Application Innovation Center. He led multiple aerospace, industrial, civilian, and educational 3D printing projects and invested and managed several AM related startups.
With his professional background and international experience, Mr. Yihan Zhong founded AM-E-Dao and serves as Editor-in-Chief, committed to building a global AM knowledge and service platform.
